Internationally-renowned chef Rick Stein’s beach house is available for rental. A refurbished 60’s style coastal retreat, Rick’s Place still retains hallmarks of its day, including wide P&O style decks, stained timber panelling and inside, retro style bathrooms and original touches. Inclusions have been modernised to make for a comfortable stay... and of course there’s a well equipped  kitchen, designed by Rick and sure to please even the most fastidious.

Think of long lazy days, a stunning sea view (great for whale watching season), plenty of accommodation and only 400 metres from Bannisters Point Lodge. Guests can take advantage of all of the facilities at Bannisters, including the Day Spa, the Poolside Pizza Bar and Rick Stein at Bannisters Restaurant, or just relax at home in the huge Jacuzzi, or in winter in front of the central wood-burning fire.

Upstairs the house has one King bedroom (bed can be split into two king singles), and two Queen bedrooms, and one small room with a set of bunks. The main living area is open plan for easy living. There is a large screen plasma TV, an additional plasma TV in the master bedroom, Austar, DVD/CD, 3 iPod docks, WiFi, Playstation and games, laundry facilities, surround sound on the deck, and probably the country’s largest outdoor Jacuzzi.

Downstairs has a master bedroom with Queen bed (can be split into two singles), plasma TV and a spacious ensuite. A second bedroom has fantastic ocean views and a queen bed (can be split into two singles).  A large lounge area has sliding doors to the back deck and garden and enjoys excellent views out to sea, and is well fitted with plasma TV, austar, ipod dock, wifi and games.  There is also another (main) bathroom and a kitchenette.

Tariff structure

Upstairs for 2 or 3 nights:  $2,500 ($500 deposit required)
Downstairs for 2 or 3 nights:  $1,500 ($500 deposit required)

Upstairs full week:  $5,000 per week ($500 deposit required)
Downstairs full week: $3,000 per week ($500 deposit required)

Full house 2 or 3 days:  $3,500 ($500 deposit required)

Full house full week:
Peak and school holidays:  $10,000 per week ($1,000 deposit required)
Any other time:  $7,000 per week ($1,000 deposit required)
